Beads made w/ frit from Val Cox.

So, many bead makers are so nice and open about sharing different techniques and ideas, that I wanted to do something as well.  When I have some time I plan to add different pages with other techniques and tips, but for now...this page is all about the wonderful frit that I've gotten from Valorie Cox of Glass Poet Designs and the different ways that I use them.  I love the deep vibrant colors I can get from the different frits, that I can't get from the morettei colors.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask & make sure that you check back often.  I use Vals frits on a daily basis and will try and post photos and instructions for all of my favorite combos.
If you'd like to try Vals frits you can find them on her website, by following the link, below.

All beads are made w/ frit that I've bought from Val Cox.
I use a mix of Moretti, Vetrafond & Lausha Glass.  I'm currently using a Lynx as my torch.

Dip white dots into Shredded Lemon
melt in
Lightly roll in Zen White (shredded lemon and zen white are two different coe's & should not be mixed together!  You have a high chance of breakage...make this bead at your own risk.)
melt in
Encase in Clear.

Besides the fact that the two frits should not be mixed together (I use such a small amount of each, that I haven't had any trouble)...Shredded Lemon is a gorgeous color, but  a little tricky.  I've found that if I try for an all over coverage and encase that my bead breaks every time.  However, I can use it for all over coverage if I don't encase.
